Celebrating Garth!
Happy Birthday, Garth! Today we’re celebrating his 38th birthday (so now we’re the same age and he’s not engaged to an older woman any longer!)
I’m not sure what the make up readership of “The Shinn Digs” is at this point (mostly old readers of Java Jesus Jen, or if we’ve got some new readers since it’s now a “Shinn Family” blog!) but at any rate, I thought it would be fun to appreciate Garth today! Feel free to fill the comments section with things you appreciate about Garth and ways you’re thankful for him!
As a side note, I had no idea of this piece of trivia … Garth shares the same birthday (8 years apart) with his older brother, Kurt!

Garth, I appreciate you for being such an amazing man of God! As I have gotten to know you this year, I most appreciate your thankful and grateful attitude in life … as you have sorted through the twists and turns life has brought, it’s obvious you have chosen to see the circumstances of your life through the lens of grace. I’m excited for all your 38th year will bring as we celebrate together!

Hi Garth,
I appreciate your friendly smilies when I walk in the door and your enthusiasm for life! Thanks for including me in so much of what you and JP do! I am so excited that you are now 38! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

We are thankful for you and the amazing example you are to us of a man who loves God with all of his heart, soul, mind and strength. It is evidenced in so many ways! And you are such an encouragement to us in the way in which you love Keaton and Kinsley. They are wonderful kids and have an amazing dad!! Happy Birthday, Garth!

Hi Garth, I’m very late in checking into your site but want to add my 2 cents.
It is so wonderful to read that others still see in you what we’ve seen all 38 years of your life. Even at 5 you were our “little man”, attending to business more like an adult than a child but still full of fun & silliness.
Your walk with the Lord has been consistent over the years during good & bad times. I’ve learned more from you in many ways than you could have learned from me. I thank the Lord for you daily! I love you.
